Social responsibility<\/h2>\n

For nine years in a row (2003-2012) Biscottificio Scapigliati owned the international standard SA8000 Social Responsibility certification which declares that workers\u2019 rights are respected throughout the supply chain.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Biscottificio Scapigliati received the Ethic Award<\/strong> issued by the specialized magazine GDOWeek in 2004 and the first national award for Corporate Social Responsibility<\/strong>, city of Rovigo, for micro enterprises category in 2005.<\/p>\n

For Biscottificio Scapigliati social responsibility means paying particular attention to the people who work at the company. In fact, according to the owners –\u00a0there is no profit without respecting people\u2019s rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Production capacity<\/h2>\n

Biscottificio Scapigliati managed to balance the craftsmanship working on baking trays as small pastry shops, but using the best machinery and technologies in order to obtain a competitive production capacity: about 1400 kg \/ day of Cantuccini.
\nIn this way, excellent accuracy in processing is respected and at the same time quantity for the most demanding customers is guaranteed.

PGI and safeguard of Tuscan traditions<\/h2>\n

Biscottificio Scapigliati obtained the PGI certification for its almond Cantuccini and it soon became part of the companies that can boast of this denomination.
\nThe PGI certifies and protects producers that meet production regulations, in order to guarantee geographical and quality standards. Scapigliati is also part of Assocantuccini, an association of producers of Tuscan almond Cantuccini that counts 25 enterprises from the Tuscan confectionery sector aiming at enhancing and safeguarding the PGI Cantuccini Toscani.
